Teaching philosophy

More than just grammar

Grammar only if relevant. Instead, communication-oriented in-company courses and trainings, close to the everyday professional life. With a lot of variety between speaking, writing, reading and listening skills. With adapted movies, the Internet and new ideas as leading parts.

Saying a lot with just a few words, being able to use grammatical constructions as versatile as possible: That is what I emphasise in my in-company courses and trainings. In class quality comes to the fore as well. Instead of the umpteenth monotonous exercise rather examples that make a difference and guarantee real benefits.

As simple as possible

Less is more: while learning German minimalism, clarity or simplicity are worthwhile goals. With me as a teacher or trainer, you learn not to translate, but to immediately think in German. With that goal in mind short sentences and a clear structure help the most. Which delights German-speaking customers and colleagues.

Goal-oriented in two respects: By means of a needs analysis I define the target and aimed benefits for your in-company course or training. In class I teach targeted communication using examples from everyday working life or a language-oriented training on the job.
